The Crafty Art Club

After School Club, Holiday Workshops, School Visits, Adult teaching and Art Parties

Founded in 2017, THE CRAFTY CAT ART CLUB has been a regular fixture after school for local children who want to spend time exploring, experimenting, creating, learning new techniques, communicating ideas and feelings, making friends, having fun, being inspired and learning to be resourceful and find the joy in making something out of nothing!

My “CRAFTY CAT” hat has also given me the opportunity to visit schools as an Artist for special one-off art demonstrations, to hold specialist classes as well as longer term workshops and “Art Week”. Some of the schools and institutions I have visited are as follows:

  • Hillcroft Primary School, Caterham, UK
  • Sunnydown School, Caterham, UK
  • Cheam Fields Primary Academy, Sutton, UK
  • Wildlife Conservation Nepal, Kathmandu, Nepal (*The ArtLife Project which is an annual workshop attended by an amalgamation of over 10 local schools)

I also teach ART in the community to adults and children of all ages, abilities, shapes, sizes and I love being able to contribute to and play my part in society. I have taught 1to1 art tuition for children who have wanted to expand and develop their portfolios and till recently taught regular adult watercolour painting classes. I also have experience teaching and facilitating art sessions for adults and children with learning disabilities.

My classes are very much well-being focused and the pride and boost to self-confidence it allows people to leave with is absolutely priceless. I have been able to spread this pure joy wider by taking it away from a formal setting and into peoples’ homes as Art Parties and family sessions too!

I also organised annual exhibitions for public viewing in 2018 and 2019 for the children and adults I teach.
